Drink in the beauty of the cross
The place where Jesus died.Drink in the beauty of the cross
Let His spirit rest insideYour heart.
Let it be fullOf His wonderful grace
Let the cross be your focuslet faith shine on your face.
The beauty of the crosshas lasted through the years.
I look at it with wonderAnd shed some happy tears.
I drink in the beauty of the cross
Because I know He loves meHe died on that cross
so all could seeDrink in the beauty of the cross
Because it's a symbol of His love
The everlasting glory

Poem contest for CanCrafts Cross

Here I can post the poems and participations complete:

Still got time to participate:

The winner will got one recycled cross.

First participant:

Hi Sweetie! I LOVE the cross!!

I jotted down you a little poem, hope you like it...

They hung Jesus by three nails to a tree,

He gave His life for you and for me.

He suffered and died to pay for our sin,

Then on the third day,

HE ROSE AGAIN!

So as you look at this cross made of tin,

Remember that Jesus is coming again!!

Yvonne, I don't have a poem but this is the bible verse I give with the cross's I make out of horseshoe nails. If you decide to use these go ahead and give what someone you think needs a spirtual lift.

Luke 9:23 Then Jesus said to all the people: if any of you want to be my followers, you must forget about yourself. You must take up your cross each day and follow me.

And Isaiah 53:5 He was wounded and crushed because of our sins, by taking our punishment he made us completely well.As you take up and wear your cross consider the price Jesus paid for you.

I also have below that (Which works for the cross's I make) Each cross is made with these componets, the nails which represent his hands and feet being pierced , the leather straps he was whipped with and the wire for the crown of thorns placed upon his head.

WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT CANCRAFTS- LOCKET HEART

Locket Heart from CanCrafts

"Oh Yvonne... I love this one!!! So pretty...and the scroll detail in its perfect" - Donna

"This little heart is awesome. I love the intricate detail of the filigree work come up with. The tiny heart at the tip is just precious, and key is the perfect added touch, especially since they even thought to add the keyhole in the design. I love it, too. The way you cut the can to let the heart be framed with silver makes it look like it's been set in a bezel. Just beautifully done. I'm seeing Pendants with earrings to match' - Marianns

Wow I really love this one... I just love your can crafts. Thank you for showing this one.. it just may be my favorite " Lynn

"They've all been beautiful, but this one is my favorite, too! I love it! Yes, Gorgeous! - Joesmom

"Wow I LOVVVVVVE this one!!!! very pretty. thanks for sharing"- Rose

CAN CRAFTS HISTORY

"An aluminum can takes 300 to 400 years to biodegrade... but in the hands of a volunteer it is question of minutes, to transform it into a valuable object... Give me one can and I will present a better tomorrow to you... " This is the way we begin the conferences for adults and children.
As a girl, I saw my father arrive at our home, with his hands full of blisters; it was his job to take off a "Chiclet" at the bottom of the gallon of bleach (Clorox). Today it is still difficult for me to throw away one of these plastic containers, without remembering those days. It is why I dedicated myself to do recycling.

One night, after seeing the film "Twister", I remained awake until late night, cutting a pop can, but it was not sufficient to do that because the danger of the edges; they were like "ninja stars" . That's why I united it to "foamis", the one with sticky foam. They came out so nice that they began to sell like "hot cakes". Soon, the calls arrived asking for my services: to buy them or to give seminars around the island on different activities. There, we showed the change and Metamorphosis of a can to butterfly; with an analogy of this transformation. We distributed samples and in some cases, depending on the group, we make one item that finishes as a key ring, or a refrigerator magnet, or an ornament.
At the moment I concentrate my efforts with aluminum cans; although I also work with different materials like cardboard, paper, plastics and things that the factories throw away. They are not garbage (garbage is garbage) they are recyclable materials.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and please, send this group link to your friends and share the news. Yvonne Hernandez"
